Time: 10:00 to 14:00 clock Content: In 4 hours two dances will be taught. The focus is "Kangna Re" from "Paheli" and "Dola Dola (stick dance) „from Bride and Prejudice".
As a warm-up there will be short dances, such as "Salaam Namaste", "Tauba Tauba" or "Monsoon Wedding".

The Indian film industry is one of the most productive in the world with more than 800 productions a year. Bollywood is a word creation from B (ombay) + (H) ollywood responsible for most splendidly fitted, highly emotional film. A specific characteristic of Bollywood movies are elaborate dance and singing scenes with fabulous costumes and lively music - often dozens of dancers are involved. This dance of life - the Bollywood Dance - inspired Tatjana Wegner to her concept BollyDance - a mixture (masala) from Indian temple dance, jazz / modern dance, oriental dance to Bhangra and Hip-Hop beats (a music that goes straight into the blood).
This course provides choreographies, which are typical for song and dance scenes in Bollywood films. We begin with a warm-up to the music of „Taal“ and intensify our Bolly Warm up (mix of different songs and rhythms). Instructions about mudras (gestures of the fingers and hands), Adavus (foot) and typical poses will follow. The second part of the course will be the teaching of 2-3 choreographies of famous Bollywood songs. Dress as comfortable and as colourful as possible. BollyDance is mainly danced barefoot. Bindis, scarves and other paraphernalia will be provided by the instructor. It would be nice if you learned a bit about Bollywood and Indian culture in advance.
