Wellness training in the land of the Mayans
Dancing and yoga - a perfect combination for holistic relaxation. That is why Pari Productions offers these unique yoga workshops in Tulum together with the Healing House.
The place - the Healing House
The Healing House is 15 minutes from the picturesque town of Tulum south of Cancun on the Yucatan Peninsula. An ideal place to find yourself and let the unique nature work its magic on you. Both the beach of the lagoon and the nearby jungle are waiting to be discovered.
The Healing House offers space for ten guests, with a dedicated cook providing meals. Tulum is a 15-minute drive away and can be easily reached by bus or car. The town offers numerous shopping and entertainment options, as well as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. What makes the Healing House an oasis, however, is the individually tailored wellness offer by Tatjana Wegner. For example, it could look like this:
Process of wellness training
9.00-10.00 a.m.: Good morning yoga
10.00-12.00 a.m .: Dance training (BollyDance or Maya dances)
Noon: Leisure time, beach trips or walks
Afternoon: 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Dance training (BollyDance or Maya dances)
In the evening: Excursion to Tulum or to Playa del Carmen with beach parties, visits to salsa clubs or visits to dance shows.
Bike tours, excursions to Cancun, massages, salsa courses or a visit to an Indian sweat hut (Temaxkal) can also be organized by arrangement.
If you want to discover the area on your own, there are many options.
Tulum and surroundings
Alongside the white beach and palm trees, a famous Mexican cultural monument can be admired at the lagoon. The Tulum ruins are the only Mayan ruins on the beach. The pyramid is located on a 12 meter high rock and so visitors have a fantastic view of the lagoon.
Sports enthusiasts will find natural groundwater basins with underground cave systems and a river in the cenotes Gran Cenote, Dos Ojos and Escondido. Snorkeling, swimming and even cave diving are all possible on site. You can experience nature in its purest form in the nearby Siaan Ka'an Bioreserve on almost 530,000 hectares and along around 100 kilometers of coastline. The Mayan name means "where heaven was born" and here you can watch the local animals or take a boat trip into the mangrove swamps. There is something very special for everyone who likes to combine culture and sport. After an hour's drive you will reach Coba, an extensive archaeological site of the Maya culture. In addition to the ancient ball playing field, some temple pyramids can be admired here (the tallest is 42 meters high). At the entrance is the large lake with crocodiles, which can be explored with experienced guides on jet skis. To cool off, there are two water basins on the site, which invite you to swim. Country and people, and especially Mayan customs, can be experienced in the small town of Valladolid. Some of the residents still wear their Mayan costumes and offer visitors typical handicrafts. The picturesque town with a large square and the Spanish church of San Gervasio invite you to take a long stroll and a typical Mexican snack. The Xcaret theme park between Tulum and Playa del Carmen, for example, offers all this in a concentrated form. In addition to many water sports, visitors are offered animal observation, dolphin shows or swimming, orchid collections, lively insights into Mayan culture, changing exhibitions and breathtaking stage shows until late at night. Playa del Carmen stands for concentrated leisure activities from street theater, bon vivants, dance options to an original beach club for all kinds of tastes. Here visitors can enjoy a mixture of city life and pure relaxation.
